University Compliance

At Shaw University, compliance means adhering to federal, state, local, and administrative laws and regulations. These legal requirements are integrated into university policies applicable to the entire community.

We are deeply committed to ethical conduct and fostering a “culture of compliance”—an environment that encourages following the law and university policies. To support this, Shaw University has established the Compliance Office and the Compliance Committee.

“Building a Culture of Compliance” is what we are all about. Compliance is everyone’s responsibility!

Reporting Compliance Concerns

Anyone may raise concerns, issues, and complaints anonymously. Providing sufficient information to permit an investigation and some contact information allows the Compliance Office to follow up in a thorough manner. The Compliance Office will keep the reporting employee’s identity confidential, to the extent possible.

Retaliation is not permitted against anyone who raises a concern, seeks advice, or reports misconduct to the Compliance Office in good faith. Suspected retaliation should be reported immediately to the Compliance Office.
