Council Of Fraternal Organizations

Overview

Welcome to the Council of Fraternal Organizations at Shaw University, where brotherhood, sisterhood, leadership, academics, and service converge to create a vibrant and inclusive community. As the umbrella organization for the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), Independent Fraternal Council (IFC), Local Based Council (LBC), and Honor Society Council (HSC), we represent a diverse array of Greek-letter organizations, social fellowships, and honor societies dedicated to fostering excellence both on campus and beyond.

Our mission is to cultivate a culture of collaboration, integrity, and social responsibility among our member organizations. Through a commitment to academic achievement, community service, and personal development, we aim to empower our members to become leaders of character and catalysts for positive change.

Whether you’re interested in the rich traditions of historically black fraternities and sororities, the camaraderie of independent Greek organizations and social fellowships, or the scholarly pursuits of honor societies, the Council of Fraternal Organizations offers a home for you to thrive and flourish.

Join us as we uphold the principles of brotherhood/sisterhood, scholarship, and service, and together, let’s make a lasting impact at Shaw University and beyond. Welcome to a community where bonds are forged, leadership is nurtured, and excellence is celebrated.
