In addition to the Sociology degree, our program also offers a concentration in Criminal Justice allowing you to gain the fundamental knowledge of concepts, principles, theories, research methods and skills required to work in justice related fields. You will create a pathway to work in advocacy, homeland security, law enforcement, corrections, and probation. You will be prepared to work globally and pursue advanced degrees or careers in government, international organizations, and non-profits. Degree Requirements

General Education Core Requirements in areas ranging from African American History and Public Speaking to Sociology and Criminal Justice. Core courses give you a strong foundation for any career.

Major Program Requirements requires that you complete 51 credit hours specific to Sociology or 63 for the concentration in Criminal Justice. As a candidate for the Bachelor of Art degree in Sociology you must earn a grade of “C” or better in all major courses.
